In the poem “Where the mind is without fear”, the poet Rabindranath Tagore pleads and prays to God to lead our people of our country to awake.

In the line, “Where the mind is led forward by thee”, the word “Thee” refers to God. The poet is sincere in his prayers and he wants God to lead the people of our country in a good way. He is spiritual in his words. He addresses God as his Father and to help us to awake, in order to have wide thoughts and actions.
