Maths is not a single theorem or postulate it is a mighty subject further comprising many subjects, it is not something discovered or invented. MATHS IS A PART OF LIFE and we can never separate it from ourselves.

Maths has been used since the universe came into existence.

It seems that you have asked this question out of frustration of probably not getting the subject. Learn to Love Maths. Until and unless you will not love the subject, it won't love you either.
