Lord mountbatten's child prepared the balkan plan (1947)for fragmentation of india.This plan envisaged the transfer of power to separate provinces with Punjab and Bengal given the option to vote for partition of their provinces. The partioned units thus formed will have the choice to join India or Pakistan or remaining independent.
