Hey there,

John Newlands, who was an English scientist, proposed the law of octaves in the year 1866. He arranged them in increasing order of atomic mass and noticed that every 8th element had properties same as that of the 1st element.

LIMITATIONS-

1. It was only applicable up to Calcium.
2. He assumed that their are only 56 elements in the universe, and no new elements would be found.

PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST IF HELPFUL!!!
