She was assisted by her associate named Fatima Begum in this noble work.
This school for girls was built on 1st of January in the year 1848 at Bhide Wada in Pune.
This was considered to be a courageous initiative by Savitribai Phule especially during the 19th century when girls did not get any such facility.
