depends on whether you like having to interpret the dialog in order to understand the story. Most people are introduced to Shakespeare by a teacher who leads them through the scenes slowly, stopping often to ask and answer the inevitable questions which will come up. I think my class took about 3 weeks maybe more on this play. It's great for teenagers to read because they can relate to all of the angst and I really liked it when I read it as a teen. As an adult, I'd say, "Eh, there's other fish in the sea. Get over him and find somebody less likely to commit suicide."
