Bal Gangadhar Tilak or populary also known as Lokmanya Tilak was born on 23rd of July, 1856 in a Marathi Brahmin family in Ratnagiri. interestingly he was the very first leader of the Independence Movement of India. He was named Lokmanya because he was accepted by the people. He is popularly known by people due to his quotation: "Swarajya is my birthright and I shall have it ".
He wrote some books as well and two of his books are mentioned below:
