Chandragupta was the first Mauryan ruler to establish such a great empire. It extended from north to south and east to west including Afghanistan and Balochistan. Chandragupta established his capital in Pataliputra. Bindusagar succeeded Chandragupta in 297 BCE and ruled up to 272BCE. He protected the empire and developed a good relations with Greeks and he died in 272 BCE.
