Eli was a Dutch woman who used to arrange food rations and other illegal coupons n goods for the residents of the secret annex.
Lies was a girlfriend of Anne (never mind the word 'grlfrnd'cz this indicates that she was a girl...)from the school.she is also considered as the bstfrnd of Anne in the school.

Lies was also a Dutch girl of German origin.she was very close to Anne ,as throughout the novel we can observe Anne describing about Lies the most.Anne also has visions of Lies suffering in a concentration camp when she was in the secret annex .When Anne was sent to a concentration camp in Belsen she found Ĺes there and both of them were happy that at least they can suffer together..
Vision here means dream..n Ĺes is Lies..
