✔Helmuth's father was a member of nazi in germany. After the loss of germany in 2nd world war hilter and his propaganda minister gobbles committed suicide. Now Helmuth's father thought that USA will not leave them and will be going to very harsh on them. He came in hurry and told his wife about this and also told that his entire have to commit suicide. They were talking and crying in louder voice that helmuth was able to hear.

✔After spending one day with his family Helmuth's father committed suicide.Helmuth was a small boy who was not able to understand about nazi ideology. He thought that his mother has compelled his father to do that and he also thought that she would give poison to him that's why he didnt eat in his own house.

Helmuth was a 11 years old boy. He heard the discussion between his parents. His father told that his family should eat poison or he will suicide. His father attempted to commit suicide. So Helmuth thought his mother would mix poison in his food and feed him. So he refused to eat in his own house.
