Because Kira was Yagami and L was a detective......

Actually.. no-one was "justice"

according to their perspectives they both thought they were right..

according to Kira..he thought killing bad ppl was justice to the innocent

but according to L he was justice coz he thought this killer is a threat to not only criminals but also innocents...eventho Kira was concious enough not to kill good innocent ppl..he had weaknesses too..if anyone came in his way from achieving what he wanted..he opposed it n didn't see whether the person was innocent..

it's left to the viewer's point of view..how he perceives it :)

so for me L was justice
