Jyotiba Phule was an Indian social reformer from Maharashtra. She was also Indian activist and a writer. He along with her wife Savitribai Phule, they opened so many schools in and around Poone. He is most known for his efforts to educate women and lower caste people. The couple were among the first native Indians to open a school for girls in India.

jyotiba phule was a social activist , a thinker, anti caste social reformer and a writer from Maharashtra.
He was born on 11 april 1827 in khanwadi at pune.He and his wife savitribai phule started first school for girls in pune at bhide wada.
