Kwame Nkrumah is a great nationalist of Ghana and the first president and prime minister of Ghana.
He was born on 21st september 1909 and died on 27 April 1972.
He played a key role for gaining independence from Britain in 1957.
His administration was based on socialism and nationalism.
His political party was United Gold Coast convention which later transformed to Convention people's party.
He ruled the country from 1957 to 1966.
His achievements include
1. He was the winner of Lenin peace prize in 1963.
2.He was the first president and prime minister of Ghana after independence
