Mounsier Hamel was the teacher in a School of France.He was usually strict teacher but on that day he was a bit worried because it was the last time he was to teach the students He made students to know that they wouldn't read France language again.They would be taught German by new teachers

Monsieur Hamel was the French teacher of the school in which Frantz was studying. Even though he had generally a strict attitude towards children, on his last teaching day, he was emotionally disheartened to part from his students. On that day he was much generous and talked in a calm , bold but gentle voice.
