     Mahendra was a man who had a transferable job. He was expected to travel to places of construction sites. He worked as a junior supervisor at a firm. He had a cook whose name was Iswaran. Iswaran would cook, clean and wash Mahendra’s clothes.

     Iswaran also had a beautiful gift. He was an expert storyteller. He had learnt this art by reading novels. Iswaran would cook delicacies and at night, would tell very engaging stories in an extremely interesting way, which eliminated the requirement of a TV for Mahendra.
