Major Percy Stroke was the brother of Mrs. Jane Bramble (Wife of Mr. Bramble).
He was cunning and careless person.
He told Mr.Bramble that boxing against Jimmy Murphy is not a right move. As it will be considered a grand event everywhere so it will be advertised everywhere whether he loses or wins.
