Mangal Pandey

☞ Mangal Pandey took birth on 19th of July in the year 1827.

☞ He took birth in a Brahmin family which lived in Nagwa in the present state of Uttar Pradesh ( abbreviated as UP ).

☞ Nagwa is one of the villages and it comes under a district so called and known as Ballia district which in turn comes under the Ceded and Conquered Provinces.

☞ He got recruited in the Bengal Army in the year 1849.

☞ He died in the year 1857 dated 8th of April at an early age of 27 in Brrackpore of Calcutta which came under Bengal Province of British India.
