Louis Sebastian Mercier was a renowned novelist. He thought that books stitched the path towards enlightment, knowledge and was a key engine in deiving away the forces of despotism. Even in his novels heroes were pictured as if they were mesmerised by the power of the printed work and altogether the evil died due to this force. He quoted this, 'Tremble, therefore, Tyrants of the world. Tremble before the virtual writer'
