Mr. Keith was a patient teacher. Helen felt that she was not bright in math, but despite this Mr. Keith "was always gentle and forbearing." He was a teacher who "made math interesting" and "he succeeded in whittling problems small enough to get through her brain."Helen was withdrawn from the Cambridge school because of the differences between Mr. Gilman and Miss. Sullivan.A private tutor Mr. Keith was appointed to teach Helen. He succeeded in whittling problems small enough to get through her brain. This improved her ability and she could solve the questions logically and systematically.

Mr keith was an efficient  teacher and Halen was his student after leaving Mr Gilman’s school. He used to explain every topic to Helen very patiently, it was he Who  inculcated inhalants heart the love for mathematics to some extent. He gave her a feeling  that he could do what a normal child can do and filled self confidence in her.He relied too much on her ability to solve mathematical problems  mentally but could not train her to write examination papers. He was not be believe because he tried his level best  to teach Helen mathematics.
