* Napoleon Bonaparte was the emperor of France from 1804-1815.
* The civil code of 1804 known as "Napoleonic Code" abolished all prviliges based on birth.
* He simplified administrative divisions in the Dutch re public, Switzerland, Italy and Germany.
* He abolished all the feudal system and freed peasants from Surfdon.
* He also established uniform laws, standarised weights and measures and a common national currency, facilitated movement and exchange of goods and capitals from one place to another.
