Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin

The first human to successfully orbit and return to Earth was Yugi Gagarin, a Soviet cosmonaut.

He successfully orbited the Earth as part of the Vostok 1 mission on 12 April 1961.

He later went on to be a part of the Backup Crew for the Soyuz 1 mission (which ended in a fatal crash) before serving as deputy training director at the Cosmonaut Training Centre near Moscow.

He died in 1968 when a MIG-15 training jet he was piloting crashed.

Hope this may help you and be the brainliest..
