On July 20 1969, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin were the first people to step on the moon. They walked for 3 hours there. While Michael Collins stayed in the spaceship. Apollo 11 was the space craft first landed on moon. The spacecraft took off on 16 July 1969 and returned on 24 July 1969. The exact mission duration was 8 days, 3 hours, 18 minutes ans 35 seconds.
