Brihadratha was the last ruler of the Maurya Empire.

He ruled from c. 187 – c. 180 BCE. He was killed by his general, Pushyamitra Shunga, who went on to establish the Shunga Empire. Mauryan territories, had shrunk from the time of Ashoka to when Brihadratha came to the throne.

Answer:

Brihadratha was the last Mauryan ruler

The magadha empire which had been reared by successive wars culminating in the conquest of Kalinga, began to disintegrate after the exit of Ashoka in 232 BC. The Mauryan empire was finally destroyed by Pushyamitra Sunga in 185 BC. He was a Brahmin general of the last Maurya king named Brihadratha. Pushyamitra killed Brihadratha in public and usurped the throne of Pataliputra.
