The members of Jacobin club belonged to less prosperous society. Their leader was MaximilIan Robespierre.

They wore long striped trousers similar to those worn by dock workers.This was different from the rich society who were knee breeches. These Jacobins were known as Sans-culottes. Women were not allowed.

They planned an insurrection of a large number of Parisians who were angered by short supplies and expensive foods. 

They stormed the palace of Tuileries.

They massacred the king's guards.

They held king under their captive for several hours.

the Jacobin was the most successful clubs of all that existed in the french. this club got its name from the former convent of St Jacob in paris. the members of the Jacobin club mainly belonged to the less prosperous sections of the society.they included common people like artisans, shopkeeepers, etc.their leader was maximiian robespierre.
