oh wow, thanks for the question, I was looking for some question to revise my chapter.

so here's the answer

the artists of those times portrayed nation as female figure.

Marianne:--- she was the personification if France. Her full name was christened marianne. Her posters and statues were erected in public squares. She was also marked on coins and stamps. Some of her characteristics were, that she wore a tri colour dress and had a cockade and wore a red cape.

Germania:--- she was the personification of Germany. she was wearing a crown of oak. German oak is a symbol of heroism

(all the information here is taken from NCERT textbook, I don't know if some points are left out)
