Mughals were the maternals and paternals of Amir Timur and Chengiz Khan (Mongol).

1) Babur - Babur was the first ruler of the Mughals and started his journey through capturing the place of his own uncle.

2) Humayun - Humayun didn't make much progress throughout his time, but the main event during his time was the the full Mughal Empire was captured by Sher Shah, but Humayun was able to retain it back again.

3) Akbar - Akbar was called 'Akbar The Great' because he was the most succefull rulers among the Mughals. He captured numerous forts, built few monuments too.

4) Jahangir - Though Jahangir didn't make much progress during his time but he was mostly known for his love Nur Jahan. There were some conflict between them because Nur Jahan formed a group which later had been demolished.

5) Shah Jahan - The most advanced period of architecture was during the reign of Shah Jahan. Famous monument Taj Mahal was made by Shah Jahan. He also wanted to make a Black Taj Mahal but there were not enough treasury or money left to make it.

6) Aurangzeb - Aurangzeb battled his own father Shah Jahan and Imprisoned him to become the king. Aurangzeb mostly lived in Deccan throughout the time of his reign. He almost ruled for 50 years and was known as 'Zinda Pir' or 'Living Saint'.
