The narrator and the grandmother were very good and close friends. Since his childhood, the narrator had seen his grandmother and had adopted the lifestyle of hers. He lived with her and they spent time with each other and became very good friends. The narrator went to his school along with his grandmother, gave stale chappatis to the dogs and ate together. She used to wake him to go to school and accompanied him to his school.
