The Battle of Talikota was fought between Vijaynagar Kingdom and Sultanates of Deccan. The Vijaynagar Kingdom was defeated in the Battle. The war took place on 26th January, 1565.

Kings fought in it are :

Delhi sultanates,
1.Hussain Nizam Shah I
2.Ali Adil Shah I
3. Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah Wali
4.Ali Barid Shah I
5.Burhan Imad Shah
6.Raja Ghorpade

Vijayanagara ,
1.Aliya Rama Raya †
2.Venkatadri †
3.Tirumala Deva Raya

Vijayanagarais defeated ending the last great Hindu kingdom in South India. Talikota situates in northern Karnataka, about 80 km to the southeast of the city of Bijapur.

Vijaynagar Kingdom and Sultanates of Deccan fought a war called the War of Tallikota on 26 January 1565.

In this war, the Sultanates of Deccan emerged victorious.
And Raja Krishna Deva Raya eventually died in later. Talikota is in present Karnataka.

Hussain Nizam Shah I,Ali Adil Shah I, Ibrahim Shah Wali,Ali Barid Shah I,Burhan Imad Shah, and Raja Ghorpade were the Sultanates of Deccan kings.
Aliya Rama Raya, Venkatadri and Tirumala Deva Raya were The Vijaynagar kings.

The Vijaynagar Kingdom faced a huge loss and even Rama Raya died in the war.
