Who were the people who comprised the third estate? Who paid the taxes and to whome?

The Third Estate compromised of peasants,artisans,landless labour,servants,lawyers, doctors,admininstrative officials,traders,etc. They had to pay all taxes to the state under Feudal system... They had to pay two types of taxes ..these were Tithes,a tax levied by the church , compromising one-tenth of the agricultural produce..and Taille, which was the tax to be paid directly to the State...The other two estates ,Clergy and Nobility enjoyed all the privileges and facilities from birth without paying a pinch of taxes.....
