Here is the answer :-

motion

A motion is defined as the movement of body according to the interval of time .

Types of motion :-

1. Translatory Motion :-

The motion which uniformly changes its position with the respect of time .

There are two types of translatory motion :-

  1. Rectilinear motion
  2. Curvilinear motion

2). Rotatory motion:-

The motion when a body rotates on its own axis is called Rotatory motion

example :- Motion of the earth .

3). oscillatory motion :-

The motion that is to and fro is called oscillatory motion .

Example :- Motion of a pendulum

4). Vibratory motion :-

The motion that produces vibration are called vibratory motion .

Example :- Motion of the threads of a guitar .

5). Linear motion:-

The motion that travels in a straight line

Example :- Motion of a bullet fired from a gun

6). periodic motion :-

The motion that takes place at regular intervals of time is called periodic motion.

7). Non-periodic motion:-

The motion that do not takes place at a regular intervals of time is called non periodic motion.

8). Random motion:-

The motion that is not fixed, that is, it can change its direction at any time is called random motion.

9). Multiple motion :-

The motion that is formed by adding to our more motion is called multiple motion.
