Let the radius be r
Height be h

Volume of cylinder,V₁ = πr²h

Volume of cone,V₂ = (1/3)πr²h

Ratio,V₁:V₂ = πr²h: [(1/3)πr²h]
                   =3 :1

volume of cylinder = pir^2h
volume of cone = 1/3pir^2h
ratio=
pi r^2h

1/3pir^2h

=1
-------
1/3
=3/1=3:1
