Nadia Murad Basse Taha is the first Iraqi to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize 2018 for her fight against sexual violence.  She shares her award with Denis Mukwege.

Nadia belongs to the Yazidi community in Iraq. She was also the United Nations first Goodwill ambassador for human traffic survivors.

She was a sex slave for ISIS before making an escape.
