Prithviraj Chauhan won the Tarain's first war in the year 1191.
Tarain's first war was fought in the year 1191 between the Ghurids king Mu'izz al-Din and the Chahamanas king Prithiviraj Chauhan near Tarain also known as Taraori in Haryana, India. King Prithiviraj Chauhan won the battle and defeated Ghurid king Mu'izz al-Din. But Mu'izz al-Din took the revenge and defeated Prithiviraj Chauhan at the Second Battle of Tarain after a year.
