uncle podger  is an interesting character of the novel given to the 9th standard by C.B.S.E named 'three men in a boat' by Jerome K Jerome.There was a frame to be hanged on the wall what uncle podger wanted to hang by himself while he was hanging the frame he dropped it on the floor so boy was sent to repair the glass.and when he was inserting the nail in the wall uncle podger got hurt in his fingers and he dropped the hammer on the floor and after all the difficulties he was tired and sat on the chair on which he was standing then he asked everyone to find his coat but when no one could find it he insisted to do it by himself and found that he was himself sitting on it. Atlast everything was setteled just for hanging a single frame he disturbed all the nine members of the house and it was evening when he hung that,which he started in the morning.
