Answer:

Here thy footstool" is a poem by Rabindranath Tagore who is a personal favourite. It is an excerpt from Gitanjali, his award winning poetry collection.

In the poem Tagore talks about where and how he can find God, he says God dwells with the ones who are thought to be poor, low and lost in the society. He says if he wants to find God he'll have to be with these people but his pride gets in the way and is unable to reach God. The point is that since God is to be found in the most unlikely of places , privileged people do not want to go through the pain of finding him, the feel superior to the poor and thus never find God because they lack humbleness. He says God is with people who are alone and lost, and we keep looking for God elsewhere.

This poem has such a deep universal message for everyone.
