Whom do you like more--the narrator or his brother? Give reasons

If the question is regarding the short story ‘The Scarlet Ibis’, then the narrator is more likeable because of his composure.

The narrator is composed and a very gentle human being as compared to his brother which tugs at our heartstrings.

We like the narrator more than his younger brother for this reason. He uses his rationale to deal with every situation.

I like the elder brother because of his dedication and hard work and sacrifice in nature. In spite of his repeated failures, he does not give up. He inspires his younger brother the value of study and commitment.
