Wht are the conductors electric heating devices such as bread toasters and electric irons made up of alloys rather than a pure metal

conductors of electric heating devices are made up of alloys because alloys don't oxidise (burns) readily at high temperature unlike metals. also alloys have a greater resistivity (generally ) compared to their constituent pure metal.

1. Alloy has higher resistivity than pure metal.

2. It has high melting point and does not burn readily or oxidise
