why 1 wire connect to earth in homes and on wat basis the motor bicycle works?

ONE WIRE IS CONNECTED TO EARTH IS CALLED EARTHING. IF MORE CURRENT PASSES TO THE HOME IT REDUCES THE CURRENT IS PASSED TO THE UNDERGROUND AND REACHES EARTH.
