because(a+b)² =a²+2ab+ b² thus they are different

a²+b² is sum of squares of two no. while (a+b)² is aum of two no and there squares

for example.,

1²+2²= 5

and (1+2)²=

(3)² or (1²+2×1×2+2²)

= 9

I hope you got difference

(a+b)²=(a+b)(a+b)

=a²+ab+ba+b²

=a²+2ab+b²

For example:

2²+3²=13.......(i)

(2+3)²=5²=25.......(ii)

In first condition ,first square take place and then addition

But it is different in second condition because first addition takes place and then square

Hope it will help you
