IT IS BECAUSE IT REQUIRE REACTION OF PHOSPHATE SO WHEN WE LIGHT IT IT GET BURN BUT WHEN NO REACTION IS DONE IT DOESNOT CATCHES FIRE

Matchstick catches fire only by rubbing the head of the matchstick against the matchbox because the friction generates sufficient amount of heat to burn the chemical on its head.
It doesn't burn on its own because it's ignition temperature is much higher than the room temperature.
