The electron from each hydrogen atom and electrons from the oxigen atom get to be near more protons when the atoms are blended togather as a molecule than when they are spra- rated as individual atoms. This make the molecule of bonded oxigen and hydrogen are more stable than the individual separated atoms....i hope it helps you
