The density of sea water is more than that of river water due to presence of dissolved salts therefore the buoyant force acting on the same mass will be more in sea water than that acting in river water. So the person will experience some difficulty in swimming in river as compared to sea.

Sea water consists of a large amount of dissolved salts in it, due to this our body tends to float easily on the surface of the sea water.
It will try to push your body upwards since it already has greater density and cannot accommodate anymore.

But in village river, the amount of salt is too much less compared to the sea water!
