FORMATION OF RAINBOW REQUIRES TWO THINGS :

1. LITTLE WATER DROPLETS

2. SUNLIGHT

WHEN SUBLIGHT HITS THE WATER DROPLETS THE WATER DROPLETS ACTS AS A PRISM .

TWO THINGS HAPPENS IN THIS CASE:

1. RAYS GETS SIMPLY PASS FROM THEM.

2. AS WATER DROPLETS ACTS AS A PRISM SO SOME RAYS GETS BEND.

this thing happens again and again and due to scattering of white light.. thus rainbow forms...

HOPE IT HELPS. ...
