abcd parameters are also known as transmission parameters because they provide link between supply and receiving end voltages and currents considering the circuit elements to be linear in nature.

Abcd parameters are also called the transmission parameters because they provide a connection between the supply and receive the end currents and voltages provided circuit elements are linear in nature.

  • The transmission parameter has four parameters namely inductance, resistance, capacitance and conductivity of the shunt. These parameters are distributed uniformly along the line.
  • The matrix of transmission parameters describes the network in terms of both current and voltage waves used for cascading the two port network connections.
