why acceleration gravitation more in pole and less in equator

this is because the radius of Earth is less at the poles and greater at the equator
the lesser the distance between 2 objects, the greater is acceleration due to gravitation

as gravitation increases on moving above the surface of earth and due to the shape of earth that is more deep(I am not getting correct word) at poles than equator. I think it should be the answer
