why acids do not burn litmus paper

because of Litmus is a water soluble mixture of natural dyes and when absorbed on filter paper can be used as a pH indicator. The paper doesn't paper on contact with strong acids due to the natural dye coating on the paper.

ishika3041: but as we know that acids are very corrosive in nature they can even burn us so why not litmus paper
