Why add a little sulphuric acid to the side of the beaker

Sulphuric acid is the very strong and reactive acid.Its when added into a water then chemical reaction takes place in which H+ ions are released  which then get mixed with water producing a dilute acid. This is an exothermic reaction in which there is  liberation off eat and light. Due to the emission of heat the water gets hot.
