why adding of sugar to water is considered a physical change while adding iron pieces to dilute sulphuric acid is considered a chemical change ?

because when sugar is added to water it changes it's state of accurate from solid to liquid and there is no change in its chemical properties while when adding iron nails in h2so4 is a chemical change as a new compound is formed with new properties

because sugar can be seperated from water but irn can not be separated fron h2so4 as it react with it to form feso4 anx h2 gas
