Why alkali metals are stored in kerosene oil not in ethanol?

This is because they are very corrosive in nature and reacts with the air if in open & if in ethanol it reacts wid it

Alkali metals are one of the most reactive chemical substances which can even react with the surrounding's atmosphere.

That's why we use kerosene for the preservation of these alkali metals.Because alkali metals don't react with the kerosene.

But on the other hand we do not use ethanol for the preservation of alkali metals because ethanol is highly reactive with the alkali metals.
