Because the flow of river water contain water and sand and some particles when the settle at a place the soil will be sublimated(particles come down) the soil will be fertile because it mixed up with some minerals. so fertile soil is called alluvial soil.the alluvial soil is present the coastal and river areas so alluvial soil are also called as riverine soil
